Former students create MBTA iPhone app

A host of new iPhone applications  some made possible thanks to Northeastern graduates – are making it easier to access MBTA schedules and arrival times. The influx of apps started in September of 2009, when the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) decided to make all of its tra nsportation data available to the public.

Menino offers climate workshop

Boston city officials will offer residents throughout the city community workshops on climate action beginning in March. The workshops are focused on opening the lines of communication between residents and the Boston Climate Action Leadership Committee on ways that the residents, as well as city officials, can reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Alum offers comedy club
