Russell Pensyl was recently named Art + Design department chair, and formally introduced to students at a town hall meeting Thursday. Pensyl came to Northeastern from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where he was director of the Interaction and Entertainment Research Centre, in addition to director and chair of the animation program at Bejing University.
After a discrepancy between Northeastern’s reported endowment figures in The Boston Globe and the Boston Business Journal, Senior Vice President for External Affairs Mike Armini confirmed that Northeastern’s endowment decreased between 2008 and 2009 fiscal years.

Tuesday, Feb. 16 7:30 a.m. A student found a jacket in of Speare Hall and turned in at lost and found. Northeastern University Division of Public Safety (NUPD) officers found a marijuana blunt in the jacket pocket while looking for ID, which they also found.
